A Meaningless Violence
“Lust,
I’m hungry,” Gluttony waved his arms around, his mouth still covered in blood
as he held the remains of the little girl in his hands, the head had been
chewed off, and the body slumped over.
“Wipe
your mouth, and finish your dinner,” The voluptuous woman stated, “If you’re
hungry then keep eating your supper.”
“But
I want more, Lust.” He waved his arms, as he shoved the body of the deceased
girl in his mouth. Lust could only turn her head away, hearing the body burn
beneath the saliva.
“Close
your mouth, Gluttony, then maybe Dante-sama will-“
There,
in a flash of light, the woman emerged, a Victorian style dress donned upon her
body, and she held the passed out brunette dog-girl in her arms, walking past
the two in silence. Gluttony watched them pass, and then the door shut.
Gluttony tugged on Lust’s dress.
“Can
I eat her ears?”
*
Ying
awoke to the feeling of silk covering her. Confusion filled her mind suddenly:
since when was she worth sleeping in silk? Someone who was completely useless
was sleeping within silk…it didn’t seem right. Hell, the last time she slept or
even touched anything nearly close to this was probably one of those times she
was acting as a…
Her
ears lowered as her eyes remained closed. They were going to want sex, weren’t
they? It was typical. Why else would anyone want her?
Until
the smell of sushi reached her nose. Her ears lifted, and she opened her eyes,
sitting up eagerly. There was a plate of sushi on the table by the bed. Ying
tilted her head, but began to eat the sushi eagerly. After all, it was her
favorite food. She still had the fearful thought in her mind that she’d have to
sell herself for sex, but for now she’d wait.
The
door to the bedroom opened and closed, and Ying looked up, a piece of sushi
still in her mouth. There stood a woman wearing some sort of elegant clothes,
as if it were the old times. Were they in some Victorian period?
The
woman approached, the same from before, “You wish to be a true magical wielding
soldier, correct?”
Ying
said nothing, reaching for her daggers, but her eyes widened. The daggers were
gone! Her head snapped to the left and then to the right, trying to find the
pouch. Then she heard Dante speak again.
“Looking
for this?” The woman held up a single dagger, and the dog girl leapt for it,
but Dante seemed to side-step the attack, “I’m afraid you can’t have this. I
don’t want you decimating my beautiful home due to your wrath.
“…I
have more than just daggers, you know,” Ying said, and Dante smirked, “Yes, I
know, child. I’m not stupid. I’ve studied you for a long time now…As for your
daggers…”
*
“Ying?”
Envy threw a dagger at the board, “You mean Dante wants THAT one?”
“Yes,”
the Fuhrer, though to many, known as Pride, watched as the dagger hit the bulls
eye, “Nice shot.”
“But
why would anyone want an emo girl like that? She’d NEVER follow Dante’s will!”
The homunculi whined, “It’s as shitty a choice as that daft bitch Lyra was!”
Pride
said nothing at first, then sighed, “You’ve seen her in action, correct?”
“Yes,”
He said, grabbing the next magical dagger he found, and took aim.
“I’ve
heard she’s powerful,” He mused, “With a scythe, and being a warrior...”
“Magical
girl my ass,” Envy pouted, “That girl had her powers revoked centuries ago. If
Dante thinks she can get anything out of that worthless piece of…”
“You
call her worthless,” Sloth spoke finally, leaning against a wall, still dressed
in the secretary’s uniform, “But you underestimate her true potential.”
“Yeah,
if you wanna call it that,” Envy pouted, then looked to the dart board, “You
make a compliment, she throws a dagger at you. You make an insult, she throws a
dagger at you. She’s convinced herself she’s worthless and only has one cause.”
“If
that’s how you see it…” Sloth said, watching as the dagger hit it’s bulls eye
again.”
*
“I
can give you a true reason to exist, Vanessa Alexandra.” Dante smiled, leaning
forward, “As Sailor Phoenix.”
“…That
name’s gone,” Ying said, “It was taken away from me when Serenity-“
“I
know the story, child.” Dante backed away, “But I also know the secret to
saving you.”
“No
you don’t.” Ying said, “I have no destiny, anyway. I’m just supposed to serve
the great Cosmos-sama…”
“You
don’t want that.”
“Yes
I do…” Ying muttered, giving the woman an icy glare, “Go away.”
“I’ve seen that look before,” She smiled, “I’ve been
watching you for a long time, and even though you say you’re worthless, you
wish you weren’t. You know that the senshi are only the servants of cosmos,
they do as she wants, but you refuse to allow yourself to believe it. I can
give you something to live for, Ying. I can make you a true senshi, one that
dosen’t have to follow that daft blonde queen Serenity…”
“No.”
Ying crawled off the bed, “No, I have no fate.”
“As
you wish,” Dante stepped back, “But if you have no fate, how will you serve
Serenity?”
“…”
Ying looked at her with another cold glare, and Dante smirked.
“At
a lack of logic?” Dante turned, “I’m afraid I can’t let you leave here. You may
explore this underground haven, but you’ll be sealed here until you agree to
join me…”
Ying
was left in silence, her hands balled into fists, and she bolted at the door,
the purple glowing scythe appeared, and she slashed at the Victorian woman’s
back as she opened the door…
…And
was met with the blade of a man’s sword, someone who stood taller than her,
dressed as a militant, and pushed her back, giving the dog girl one message;
“You’re not allowed to hurt her.”
And
then the door was closed, and Ying was alone.
*
“She’s
difficult,” Dante muttered, walking past Pride as he closed the door. Lust and
Gluttony looked up, Sloth stepped forward from the wall, and Envy had thrown
his last dagger, which had hit the wall beside the dartboard, “Shit.”
“Dante-sama,
we don’t have a sto-“ Lust began, but was silenced when Dante raised her hand.
“We
have at least one thing,” Dante looked to her homunculi, “Rose is still in
belief that I may save her child, meaning that all we need now, is the stone,
and the girl will bring it to us. And if we can’t take Ishbal, then we’ll take
everything else in its path…”
