The Warning
*
“You
have to always be ready!”
The
senshi ran at David O`Cain, just as he made his statement, and she launched an
attack at him. He dodged with ease, slashing at the senshi in the process of
dodging. She was cut deeply, and flew backwards into a sofa. He exhaled, not
expecting the fighting to be so intense already. The senshi got back up, and
ran right at him, aiming a kick at his jaw. The foot connected, and he reeled,
rubbing his face sorely, almost certain that his jaw had popped somewhere.
David
had made the promise to everyone-his family, his friends, his court, the
queen-that he would train the senshi to prepare them for when the time came for
their calling. The training was brutal, yes, but the senshi were always
powerful. In the end, this kept them always on their toes, and fine-tuned the
power. If no one kept them trained, then hell could easily be raised, if no one
was careful.
There
was, of course, no guarantee that this would help, but at least he knew he was
trying.
He
snapped back into reality as the senshi crashed into the sofa, after hitting
her with his sword as an athlete would with a baseball bat. These fights tended
to be bloody, but the battles, and the war would be far worse.
They needed to be ready for any conflict, no matter how deadly. And he would be the one to do this. It was his promise, his destiny…
