Chapter 4: Reveal

The sun would had set, had it not been raining, and at the edge of Tokyo, the cherry blossoms seemed to gradually fall, yet there was a dark figure sitting on the tree, carving away at a branch with what seemed to be a dagger. Below it two heads hung from a branch. One was hanging by a brown braid, it’s green eyes seeming blank, and the other hung by a string, dark eyes staring out blankly.

“Ah…young Europa, you’re next,” A familiar voice seemed to say, and there was a cold laughter as the sun continued to set.

There was a knock at the door as it opened, and a green-eyed girl with her auburn hair tied back in a ponytail seemed to walk in.

“Minako-chan? You around?” She called, noticing the other people as they greeted her, though it all seemed a blur. She had a strong headache, almost like something was pounding at her brain and in her back. The sun had fully set, and Makoto glanced around, realizing that Minako wasn’t around, but instead saw that two females were bowing to her, and she smiled.

“Hey Europa, Io. I was wondering if either of you have seen Minako around?”

“No, Jupiter-sama,” Sailor Io said, her head still low, “She’s probably with Xadium-sama right now.” She looked to the TARDIS, which at the moment was not rocking, oddly. Makoto nodded, then smiled.

“You two don’t have to bow down to me all the time,” She watched as Indigo shook her head, but Euri looked up, “Really?”

“Of course!” She smiled, and Euri simply grinned, throwing her arms around Makoto. Indigo sighed, and stood up, bowing again, and walked off, muttering something along the lines of ‘respect for your betters’ and was off in the corner. Makoto, meanwhile, had one of her senshi wrapping her arms around her babbling on about how great the senshi of Jupiter was. Makoto just laughed nervously, but began to feel a pounding in her forehead, trying to ignore it.

‘Isn’t she precious?’ Makoto smiled, and watched the girl continue to glomp her, which she didn’t mind. The pounding feeling in her head began to grow more and more intense with every moment, though, and she began to close her eyes, taking a deep breath. The room seemed to grow more and more foggy as Makoto closed her eyes, and fell, Euri catching her before her head hit the ground.

“Jupiter-sama!” Io ran back, and kneeled over her better, “Are you alright?”

The whole room seemed to be a haze, and all she could feel was an incredible urge to feel something on her hands. She felt her whole body burn, starting from her chest, and working it’s way through her body, until everything burned.

“Makoto-sama?” Euri peered over her, seeming confused, as the girl seemed to suddenly cough, hands at her mouth.

“I’ll go get her some water,” Io said walking out of the room. Euri peered the senshi she had been serving since long beyond her past life, eyes filled with worry, yet all Makoto could hear was her heartbeat as she felt everything go black.

“Makoto-sama?” Euri began to shake her, “Don’t collapse, Makoto-sama!”

Deep within Makoto’s mind, there was a dark laughter.

“What happened?” Io returned, with a glass of water for the woman she served.

“You want to hurt them, don’t you?”

“She just collapsed!” Euri looked to Io, a look of fear in her eyes.

            “They make you sick inside.”

“Hm…Where’s Hotaru when you need her most?”  Io turned to go up the stairs, “I’ll go get Hotaru. She might be able to heal her.”

“All they do is take away from you.”

Euri looked over her, seeming more and more nervous, as she bit down on her bottom lip, “Makoto-sama…I’m sorry.”

“You don’t need people to protect you when you can easily protect yourself.”

“I shouldn’t have squeezed you so tightly!”

“You could easily kill them, they’re so weak.”

Euri’s eyes seemed to light up when she saw Makoto’s hand move a little, “Io-san…!”

“What’s the point of having them around? They only bring you down.”

Makoto slowly began to sit up, eyes still closed.

“Yes, kill her. Kill her now.”

“Io-sa-” Euri was cut off when two hands wrapped tightly around Euri’s neck, and she couldn’t breathe.

“This is just perfect, wouldn’t you agree?”

Makoto opened her eyes, and two crimson orbs had replaced the green ones, a maniacal smirk on her face as Euri’s eyes widened in shock and she tried to scream…
